A joint
World Bank - DfID Supervision Mission October 15-23, 2008.
A joint World Bank - DfID
supervision mission will be undertaken from October 15-23,
2008 to review progress of NEAS network for implementation
of activities and to make an assessment of the capacity
building activities planned for this year. Mission will also
review the Government's medium term plan for continuing with
assessment and NEAS beyond June 30, 2009. Mission will
particularly focus on discussing Government's strategy and
vision for NEAS including the institutional aspects as well
as the need for continued technical assistance.
Relevant Secretaries, Directors from the provinces and areas
and representative from EAD are also invited to make the
meetings meaningful. Mission team will include
Messrs/Mesdames Sofial Shakil (Task Team Leader/Senior
Education Specialist), Syed Ameer Hussain Naqvi (Senior
Education Consultant), Hasan Saqib (Sr. Financial Management
Specialist), Anwar Ali Bhatti (Bank Disbursement Analyst),
Huma Ali Waheed (Trust Funds Administrator), Hasan Masood
Mirza (Consultant) (World Bank) and Umbreen Arif (Education

National Assessment-2007 is
schedule from April 23-24, 2007 in all provinces/areas of
Pakistan and May 02-03, 2007 in Sindh
National Assessment-2007 is
schedule from April 23-24, 2007 in all provinces/areas of
Pakistan and May 02-03, 2007 (119 districts of Pakistan) on Random Stratified
Sampling technique (Decision made in NPCC meeting) for the
subjects of Language (Urdu) and Mathematics.
Background questionnaire for students, teachers and head
teachers are also included in this assessment schedule.
For preparation of National
Assessment, Lead Test Administrator's training will be held
from 6-14 April, 2007 in NEAS, Ministry of Education,
Islamabad. Lead Test Administrators will be
responsible to conduct trainings in their provinces/areas
from 16-21, April, 2007.
Monitoring of whole activity
will also be performed. National/Provincial monitoring
teams has been constituted for said purpose.
This activity will be performed
on Standardized Testing Format, designed by NEAS and its
team. Test starting time has been decided throughout
Pakistan is 9:30am.
